LUCY GIBSON

Lucy Gibson is a singer, workshop leader and arranger based in London.

As well as loving singing in classical choirs and small groups, she has been intensely involved in Bulgarian and Georgian song for more years than she cares to remember! She led the London Georgian Choir (Maspindzeli) for four years, sang in a Bulgarian trio (the Dessibelles) for ten years, and has been in the London Bulgarian Choir for nine years. With these groups and others, she has performed in venues across the UK and further afield, including the National Theatre and WOMAD

She created the Walthamstow Wassail in 2011 and has led it every year since; her arrangements have resulted in a book of wassail arrangements for acapella voices (The Walthamstow Wassail Songbook). The songbook also gives commentary on setting up your own wassail, and the arrangements have been sung by singers across the UK to  welcome in the New Year. In recent years she has been learning and transmitting New Year songs from other countries to the Wassail participants.

Lucy regularly leads workshops teaching Georgian songs, mostly as one-offs or for community choirs. It gives her huge joy to gather a room full of people, whether they already know each other or not and lead them on a journey to learn a new song, and to experience the deep feelings of accomplishment, togetherness and faith in humanity which come from that one simple act.

sally davies

She collaborates frequently with other composers and musicians and her choirs perform regularly both in and out of London. For the last year she has also been running The London Climate Choir.

She leads workshops all over the country including the Folk choir at the Dartington International Summer School for four years and folk workshops at Kings Place. Her arrangements are sung by many choirs and smaller acapella groups and her book of folk song arrangement, Lovers, Legends and Laments has sold widely both in the UK and abroad.

As a singer she has performed with many theatre companies and singing groups over the years and is currently performing with her daughters in the acapella trio Davies & Daughters and with Martina Schwarz in the duo Bow & Bellows

MARION GOLDSTRAW

‘Writing to Reveal’ is a journey of self-enquiry and self-renewal.  It invites you to write/work with a prominent story from your life, looking at all the dimensions of that story because no story ever means only one thing.    The emphasis is not on writing, writing is the doorway to insights.  We will be using Autoethnography as a method in order to ’thicken your story’.  Meet yourself on the page, have a conversation with yourself.

I am trained as a teacher, a coach, a trainer, a psychotherapist and am currently undertaking an MSc in ‘Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes’.  I am in my Dissertation Year and am using Autoethnography as a research method’.

Rowan Andrews

Rowan is a business coach, couples intimacy coach, life coach, men’s coach, energy healer and tantra teacher. He has spent the past fifteen years helping people on their personal, professional and business growth journeys and to see beyond the personal limitations of the mind, to open them to new possibilities for their lives.

He has spent many years as a spiritual seeker, following gurus, guides and teachers to find the ‘truth’ that he always sensed was out there, somewhere, that would make sense of the human experience. Then one day, apparently, he experienced a total falling away of everything and a sudden recognition that this is already what the seeker seeks. Just this.

He now enjoys speaking about everything and nothing.
